FITNESS BY THE FELLS - 30th SEPTEMBER 2017

ADVENTURE NORDIC WALKS 2017


Fancy a walk in our beautiful countryside and work your whole body at the same time.  Then come along to one of the longer Nordic Walks:


Thursday walks £6, Saturday walks £8 incl pole hire.  Walk lengths are approximate.  Thursday walks are between 1 and 2 hours long.  Others as stated.


7th Sep - Larches Car Park , 11am

9th Sep - Northern Fells Adventure Walk, 9.30am

14th Sep - Millfield Car Park, 11am

21st Sep - Larches Car Park, 11am

28th Sep - Millfield Car Park, 11am

5th Oct - Larches Car Park, 11am

7th Oct - Thirlmere Adventure Walk, 9.30am

12th Oct - Millfield Car Park, 11am  

19th Oct - Larches Car Park, 11am

LEARN TO NORDIC WALK


Not sure what Nordic Walking is all about then book in to one of the beginners courses to get the most out of walking with poles.  Benefits of Nordic Walking include:


- Tones the upper and lower body at the same time.

- Uses 90% of the skeletal muscles.

- Burns up to 46% more calories than ordinary walking.

- It’s very sociable; participants can chat as they go!


Next dates are:  8th Sep 12.30pm


£6 per hour incl. pole hire (1hr per week).


If you cannot make this date then you are welcome to a Nordic Walking session and we can run through the technique then.






FITNESS FOR ALL - To Be Announced


I always wanted to organise a day for those more mature or less able and so Fitness For All was born.


The classes are all suitable for those who find getting to the floor difficult, who maybe are recovering from injury or simply want something gentle.


Fitness For All is “Happy way to keep mobile.  It works every part of your body.”


All profits will go to the Cumbria Flood Fund and Nurture Lakeland.
